🔧 Position Summary

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commercial Building Engineer. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building operations and maintenance with strong skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. You should be self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of working independently or with contractors.


🕒 Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Must be available for after-hours emergency calls, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and prioritize service calls and tenant issues (e.g. hot/cold calls, bulb changes, general maintenance).
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Understand and maintain centrifugal chillers, EMS, cooling towers, air handlers, and more.
  • Handle light installations, modifications, and repairs.
  • Coordinate and supervise outside contractors when necessary.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies/parts, and track maintenance logs.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.

🧰 Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial building engineering or facilities maintenance.
  • Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs and work from ladders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel).

💰 Compensation & Benefits

  • Up to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Potential for contract-to-hire, offering long-term employment stability.
