Job Title: Temporary Commercial Maintenance Technician

Location: Akron, OH

Duration: 12–18 weeks (may vary slightly)

Start Date: ASAP

Reports To: Commercial Property Manager

Pay Range: $28-30/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine building inspections and complete preventative maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
• Coordinate and supervise third-party vendors for specialized services
• Monitor the overall condition and functionality of each building site
• Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and systems maintained
• Respond to service requests, emergencies, and after-hours issues as needed
• Communicate professionally with tenants, contractors, and the property management team

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to multiple sites
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certifications preferred
• Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and adjust quickly to changing priorities
• Must be available to start immediately

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use ladders and standard maintenance equipment
• Travel within the assigned regional area (Canton, Cleveland, Akron, Marion) is required
• Occasional availability for after-hours or emergency work requests
