Website UX Testing Lead

We are seeking a Website UX Testing Lead to ensure redesigned websites are intuitive, accessible, and high-performing for all users. This role is ideal for someone passionate about user experience, accessibility, and data-driven quality assurance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Usability & Performance Testing: Lead manual and automated testing to identify bugs, usability issues, and inconsistencies across devices and browsers.
  • Accessibility Audits: Evaluate compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards and recommend improvements to support users with disabilities or low digital literacy.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create clear test plans, track issues, and present actionable findings to developers, content teams, and leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, developers, and content teams to integrate feedback and advocate for user-centered improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply best practices and emerging tools to enhance testing processes and promote inclusive digital service delivery.

Preferred Experience

  • Working with screen readers or assistive technologies
  • Usability testing tools (e.g., Hotjar, Maze, Optimal Workshop)
  • Basic HTML/CSS and CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress)
  • Bug tracking tools (e.g., SiteImprove, Jira, Trello)
  • Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Matomo)
  • Government or public sector experience (preferred)

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of website testing and QA methodologies
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and usability best practices
  • Familiarity with CMS structures and user behavior patterns
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Clear written and visual communication
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Empathy for users with diverse needs and backgrounds
