Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

Location: Dayton, OH

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI

Schedule: Full-Time

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to lead cybersecurity strategy and implementation for mission-critical systems. This role is central to securing Nomad hardware, Smith software, and Watch operations in contested environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the PG Cybersecurity Strategy, System Security Plan (SSP), and POA&M.
• Lead Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes from categorization through authorization.
• Align cybersecurity efforts with NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and Air Force Zero-Trust Architecture.
• Chair cyber risk boards and present metrics to senior stakeholders.
• Design and implement cross-domain safeguards and continuous ATO tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into DevSecOps pipelines.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field with 15+ years of DoD/IC experience (or Master’s with 12+ years).
• 5+ years as a lead cybersecurity engineer, ISSM, or equivalent.
• Expertise in RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, SCAP/ACAS, and eMASS.
• Experience with cross-domain solutions, Type-1 crypto, container security, IaC (Ansible/Terraform), and DevSecOps (e.g., Platform One, Iron Bank).

Preferred Qualifications

• DoD 8570/8140 IAM/IASAE Level III certification (e.g., CISSP-ISSEP, CISM).
• Experience with ABMS, CJADC2, OMS/UCI, or tactical data-link programs.
• Familiarity with zero-trust enforcement in SATCOM, SDR, or SDN environments.
• Red-team or pen-testing credentials (e.g., OSCP, GXPN, CEH).
• Agile/Scrum or SAFe certification.
