BG Staffing is seeking a dependable and hardworking Porter/Groundskeeper to support two well‑maintained residential communities in the Marlboro and Freehold areas. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in maintaining clean and attractive surroundings, and wants a consistent weekday schedule.
About the Position
In this role, you will split your week between two nearby properties, ensuring both communities remain clean, safe, and visually appealing. You’ll work closely with onsite teams to maintain common areas, walkways, and grounds. This is an active, outdoor position that requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Weekly Location Schedule
- Monday: Marlboro, NJ 07746
- Tuesday: Freehold, NJ 07728
- Wednesday: Freehold, NJ 07728
- Thursday: Freehold, NJ 07728
- Friday: Marlboro, NJ 07746
Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (no nights or weekends)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily trash‑down duties, including collecting and disposing of waste from designated areas.
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of both properties, including grounds, walkways, and common areas.
- Assist with essential daily tasks, such as sweeping, blowing leaves, pressure washing, and general upkeep.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns or safety issues to onsite management.
- Support the maintenance team with light tasks as needed.
- Represent BG Staffing with professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Locations: Marlboro & Freehold (as scheduled above)
- Consistent hours with weekends off
Dress Code Requirements
To maintain a clean and professional appearance, the following attire is required:
- Work shoes or boots
- Khaki or navy pants
- Navy polo shirt or clean navy T‑shirt
Ideal Candidate Qualities
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
- Able to work independently and stay productive
- Comfortable with physical labor and outdoor tasks
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean environments
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
- Previous porter, janitorial, or groundskeeping experience is helpful but not required
