Technical Architect – Client Journey

Overview:

The Technical Architect will lead solution architecture for the Client Journey initiative, guiding the development of scalable, future-ready technology solutions. This role focuses on aligning technical, data, and infrastructure strategies with business goals across a wide range of technologies, including cloud, mobile, AI, and immersive experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture Leadership:
  • Define and guide future-state architecture using enterprise standards and trends. Identify gaps in current systems, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Technology Strategy:
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to influence roadmaps. Create high-level migration plans to transition to modern architectures while reducing technical debt.
  • Solution Delivery:
  • Partner with enterprise architects, product owners, and development teams to ensure architecture integrity throughout product lifecycles. Provide technical direction and ensure compliance with governance frameworks.
  • Collaboration & Guidance:
  • Act as a trusted advisor across IT and business units. Coach teams on architectural best practices, innovation, and implementation strategies. Document architecture decisions and post-implementation learnings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in IT architecture with expertise in at least two areas: infrastructure, APIs, cloud, virtualization, database, middleware, or networking
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery, product management, and architectural principles
  • Experience with Appian, including designing and architecting solutions that integrate Appian with other enterprise systems; candidates with only standalone Appian experience will not meet the role's integration needs
  • Exposure to a variety of technology environments and enterprise IT systems

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, design patterns, and IT operations
  • Familiarity with modeling languages (e.g., UML, ArchiMate), ITIL, and ITSM frameworks
  • Business-savvy with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Recognized as a credible influencer and cross-functional team leader

Preferred Attributes:

  • Technologically agnostic and outcome-focused
  • Curious, driven, and committed to long-term business impact
  • Able to navigate complex organizations and influence at all levels

Estimated salary range: $200,000 - $215,000
